Memorials

Will The Existing Memorial Be Able To Stay On The Grave That Needs To Be Reopened?
In the majority of cases, any existing grave memorial will have to be removed if an existing grave is to be reopened for the interment of your loved one. This has to be done to allow access to the grave, and the memorial normally has to remain off of the grave for between six months and a year, to allow the ground to settle following the burial.
How Do I Arrange For The Removal Of The Memorial To Reopen The Grave?
We will arrange this for you with our recommended stonemason, Kernow Stone, who we know do an excellent job.
How Do I Arrange A New Memorial Or Changes To The Existing One?
Kernow Stone, our recommended stonemason, can help you with everything that you could need, from a thorough clean or additional inscription on an existing memorial, to the purchase and installation of an entire new memorial. Their telephone number is 01209 206284 extn 302 and their website is www.Kernowstonememorials@gmail.com

Photography

Why Have A Photographer At Your Loved Ones Funeral?
Creating a lasting visual record of your loved ones funeral can be really precious. Often a time when emotions are running high it’s really difficult to take everything in. Remembering how beautiful the flowers looked, friends and family that were there to show their support, how smart the funeral team were, as well as all the little details.
Photographs are a lovely way to look back and remember a day fondly, they can also be shared with those that perhaps cannot attend or perhaps shared with the younger generation at a later date.
Orders of Service

What Is An Order Of Service?
This is a printed, personalised booklet that enables attendees to follow and participate in the funeral service. It can also be used as a keepsake for closer family and friends.
What Information Goes Into An Order Of Service?
Normally, an order of service would provide all the text required for someone to be able to follow the funeral service. This can include readings, poems, hymns and prayers, as well as details about the music being played and the names of the people speaking. You can also add a personal touch by including favourite pictures of your loved one in your order of service, and include any details about an invitation to a reception following the service or charitable giving.
Horse Drawn

Horse drawn funerals are a very special way of conveying your loved one to their place of rest. They add dignity and solemnity to the occasion and can be used to express a love of horses, or, indeed, a love of tradition.
Doves

The release of doves at a funeral is a wonderfully joyful moment and can be seen as a way of sending a symbolic message to your loved one. They can also act as a way of helping people, especially children and young people, feel that they are able to participate in the service in some way.
Fingerprint Keepsakes

A fingerprint keepsake is a memento, such as a jewellery pendant, earrings or key ring, for example, which shows the imprint of your loved one’s fingerprint.
